OUR
WEB DESIGN CONTRACT CONTAINS OPTIONAL MAINTENANCE
Site maintenance:
Effective SITE MAINTENANCE DATE and continuing
through termination of this agreement, a monthly site maintenance
fee of $XX.00 (payable on the 1st of the month) shall include
web page modification to include addition of new material on currently
constructed pages or rewrite for search engine optimization, marketing
guidance, an advertisement on Online Little Rock and inclusion
in the
Online Little Rock search engine. Additional services requested
will be payable at the rate of $XX.00 per hour or $XX.00 per web
page. Additional
services will be billed by the contractor on a calendar-month
basis and shall be payable with the next monthly maintenance
fee.
Site maintenance may be terminated by either party prior to
any dates mentioned above upon giving the other party 30 days
notice in writing. Writing may be in the form of email.
WHY
SITE MAINTENANCE IS IMPORTANT
No search
engine will spider your entire site on its first visit. Spiders
also look for new, fresh content.
What
customers search for on the Internet changes. Your keyword pages
may need modification to reflect customer trends. You may need
to add new pages to reflect customer trends.
Performance-based
marketing is not only the wave of the future, it is now.
How many sites have you visited that do not promote someone else's
products or services? Not very many. Look at the front page of
AOL and MSN. They're loaded with advertisements.
For
the most part, the companies ARE NOT paying for those advertising
spots. AOL and MSN receive commissions based upon the sales made
to persons referred from their site to the company's site.
You
can, and should, do the exact same thing. You may earn enough commissions
to pay your hosting fees. You may earn enough to pay our fees.
You may even earn enough to open a new bank account.
Performance
marketing companies change their sales links regularly. We monitor
the best performing links used by a company and try to make certain
we're always using the latest, and best-performing, links on our sites.
Monitoring
this and keeping your site updated is part of our maintenance package.
LINKING
ADVICE AND MANAGEMENT
Many
search engines increase the value of your site (and its ranking)
based upon keyword-centric links coming to you from similar sites.
You
also get targeted visitors from links posted in newsgroups, AOL,
MSN, Google and Yahoo groups. We help you develop your strategy
in this area.

OTHER
CONSIDERATIONS
Modification
of current website pages is included in our monthly fee for site
maintenance. New pages are billed on a per hour or per page basis.
A couple of our clients add similar pages on a regular basis. We
have been able to produce four to five pages in an hour. Charging
by the hour instead of by the page in those instances has saved
our clients hundreds of dollars.
